How To Go From Workhorse To Strategic Leader
Your performance review is coming up. And you're determined to make this one count — because you've worked hard and you've delivered. But you know that this isn't always enough. Because you’ve walked into past reviews having crushed it — and walked out frustrated and empty-handed anyway.
If you're a Female Director in your 30s or 40s, this free 60-minute live webinar is for you. At this level, working hard and delivering is a given. What gets you promoted is positioning yourself as someone already operating at the next level. And with the right strategy, positioning can shift faster than you think.
Sign up to learn what your stakeholders actually need to see before they'll promote you and the specific moves that shift your position from “reliable workhorse” to a strategic leader who’s ready for more — so this review finally turns into a yes — without working yourself into burnout or sacrificing your happiness.
What we’ll cover
Most webinars about getting promoted give you the same vague advice you've already heard — prepare your wins, ask for what you want, follow up. This one will show you why high-achieving women keep walking out of reviews empty-handed despite the effort, what your boss is actually evaluating, and exactly what to do about it. Join this 60-minute, zero-fluff session to learn:
Why the rules change at senior levels — and why "crushing it" stops being enough to earn the promotion
What your boss is actually evaluating in your performance review — and the specific signals they need to see before they'll say yes
What "be more strategic" and "show executive presence" really mean — and how to act on this feedback
The 3 most common patterns that sabotage high-achieving women's promotion chances — and how to spot them in your own behavior
How to reposition yourself as ready for the next level — especially in the weeks and months leading up to your review
How to turn this shift into a launch pad for long-term momentum — repeat promotions, raises, and recognition
Live Q&A with Anna — stay until the end and get your specific situation answered
What others say
This webinar is for women who:
Identify more as a workhorse than a show horse — and have a performance review coming up that needs to go differently this time
Have walked into past reviews having crushed it — only to walk out without the promotion, the raise, or the title change they'd been working toward
Have been told to "be more strategic" or "show executive presence" — again — with no real explanation of what either actually means or how to act on it
Have watched less-qualified peers get the promotion, the raise, or the recognition that should have been theirs — more than once
Are done waiting for someone above them to notice and reward what they've been doing

About your presenter:
Hi, I'm Anna Cosic — a former exec turned executive coach.
I know what it's like to walk into a performance review having crushed it — only to walk out frustrated and empty-handed. To be given vague feedback I didn’t know how to act on. To feel like every cycle, you're putting more in and getting less back. As a Director, I was working harder than ever and struggling to get my promotion. The rules had changed when I crossed into senior leadership, and nobody told me what the new ones were. I figured it out the hard way over the next few years, and it took me from Director to GM to VP.
Then I spent years on the other side of the table — deciding who got promotions and raises. And I watched the same thing happen over and over: high-achieving women, often the most reliable people in the room, getting passed over because they’re seen as reliable workhorses. It can happen to anyone, but the workhorse trap pulls hardest on the women whose strengths make them easiest to rely on — the introverts, the perfectionists, and the women with people-pleasing tendencies who've built their whole careers on being the person everyone can count on.
That's why I’ve made it my mission to help women break out of the workhorse trap and finally get the recognition, raises, and promotions they deserve. Over the past seven years, I've helped 700+ women make the shift from workhorse to strategic leader, and build the kind of careers that keep growing for years to come. Without working themselves into burnout. Without sacrificing their health, happiness, or relationships.
Join me in this webinar and I'll show you what I wish someone had told me when I was where you are now. See you there.
